Yondu Costume Concept Art

The objective of this project was to reimagine Yondu's appearance while respecting the established visual language of the Marvel Universe. Yondu, originally portrayed by Michael Rooker, is known for his striking blue skin, Mohawk-style fin, and use of a Yaka arrow. For this alternative costume design, I aimed to blend his rugged, rebellious nature with futuristic and tactical elements, creating a costume that could fit within a new chapter of Yondu's journey while maintaining the spirit of his character.

 

For this project, I was tasked with designing a custom alternative costume for Yondu, a beloved character from the Marvel Universe, known for his iconic role in Guardians of the Galaxy. The challenge was to create a unique look for Yondu that stayed true to his character but also offered a fresh, creative take on his style. In addition to designing the costume, I also had to create three distinct items that Yondu would use, blending elements of science fiction, fantasy, and practicality to match his persona.
